‘The Tear in Ireland’s Eye’ was created in partnership between Amnesty International Ireland and glass artist Sinéad Brennan as part of the campaign to repeal the constitutional ban on abortion in Ireland. The film shows the ‘tear’ being transported to Ireland’s Eye, an island off the coast of Dublin, by its sculptor Sinéad and Jack Robertson who was also involved in the making of the film. The sculpture and film symbolise the importance of Irish women and men coming together to bring an end to the injustice of denying women abortion care in Ireland. The concept was also brought to life with the help of a team of creatives: Jack Robertson, Karina Cotter, Conor Kenny, Kerrie Sweeney and Hazel Tracey. The film was produced by Tiny Ark.
